Dog Boarding - a better way is House-Sit & Train
at the Owners Residence

House Sit & Train

How House Sit & Train works.
During your absence I stay with your dog or dogs in their own home, providing highly relevant training. I also take care of any other pets and household security. Learning to ignore the postman or the sheep in the field next door is most effectively taught at home near the postman or sheep you want the dog to ignore. The usual duration for house sit and train is two week I have had twenty years experience working with dogs and their owners.

The advantages of House Sit & Train
Your dog is happiest in his own surroundings, happy relaxed dogs learn fast. The training programme is designed for the individual dog’s needs and the owner’s priorities and lifestyle combined. By living with your dog in his own environment, I can assess observe and work with the information provided by the owner. You return home to a happy relaxed trained dog.

How the training is maintained.
Upon your return I pass on the skills, background knowledge, and hands on experience that enables you to maintain the improvements made. I leave you with the daily record of training games exercises and progress achieved, in diary form. You then have a one-month period when you can telephone if any further advice is needed, at no extra cost. Click here to see what my clients say!

In both House Sit & Train and Home Stay & Train, the following applies:
Training will be according to the needs and priorities of the owner, and can include anything from puppy potty training, to training for specific tasks.

Many dogs complete livestock training, including preventing controlling and stopping dogs chasing sheep. I keep a comprehensive record during your dog’s stay which describes his progressive training and everything we did together. I then give you this record to refer to, it incorporates instructions and is used as the foundation for transferring the training experience your dog has received from me, to yourself .

In order to maintain Rover’s training you will need to allow one day to properly absorb the contents of the training record . Owners can come for two half days and B&B is available at my cottage to enhance the experience of the training package.

I am a qualified teacher of adults, and very experienced in transferring skills, and confidence to you the owner, so that your dog behaves as well for you when you return home, as he did for me.
